Thread lifting in Seoul: compare the thread, the plan and the complete quote

Compare thread product, count, treatment area, total fees, risks and follow-up. Plan a Seoul consultation without assuming current clinic availability.

A thread-lift price becomes useful only when it names the actual product, the number and type of threads, the area and the clinician's plan. “Two threads” at one clinic may describe a different service from two at another. Start with a consultation about your concern, then compare complete written proposals. This guide supports that decision; it does not confirm a currently available thread product or appointment at La Maison.

1. Understand what a thread lift involves

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes thread lifting using absorbable barbed sutures placed beneath the skin to support tissues. It is an invasive cosmetic procedure even when marketed as a short appointment. A qualified clinician needs to assess the anatomy, explain alternatives and obtain informed consent. ASPS thread-lift overview

For the wider treatment landscape, see GREY's lifting directory. The energy-based options listed there do not involve the same procedure or quote structure as threads. Ask which approach is relevant to your goals rather than choosing solely by the word “lifting.”

2. Separate material, design and product identity

Ask the clinic to write down the manufacturer, full product name, material and whether it is absorbable or non-absorbable. A brand name alone does not answer these questions. Product choice and local authorization need confirmation for the actual item proposed.

Next, ask about the thread's design and intended purpose. A smooth thread and a barbed lifting thread should not be treated as interchangeable units. Have the clinician explain why the proposed design, length and number suit the area. Request product documentation instead of accepting a translated nickname. Do not infer a guaranteed result or duration from the material abbreviation.

3. Check whether the consultation matches your goal

Describe the area you notice, the degree of change you want and any asymmetry you already have. Ask the clinician to distinguish what can realistically change from what the proposed procedure cannot address. A consultation is also an opportunity to decide that treatment is unnecessary or that another assessment is more useful.

Bring your medical history, allergies, medicines and previous facial procedures, including existing threads, fillers and surgery. ASPS specifically recommends discussing health, prior treatments, medications and surgical history. Do not stop prescribed medicines yourself; any change needs the appropriate clinician's instructions. ASPS consultation guidance

4. Compare a complete price, not a per-thread headline

A usable written quote should specify:

  • Product name, material, design and number of threads
  • Whether the count is total or per side, with the intended area
  • Treating doctor, consultation and anesthesia or comfort fees
  • Required medicines, dressings or follow-up charges, if applicable
  • VAT-inclusive total in KRW and any separate add-ons
  • Deposit, cancellation, validity and review terms

Ask what happens if the examination changes the proposed number or product. Get the revised total before consenting. If two quotes differ, compare the full plan first: multiplying a per-thread price may omit important fees or compare different products. No current clinic-confirmed numeric price is published here.

5. Discuss limits and durability without a promise

Ask how much change is realistic and whether it meets your actual objective. Thread lifting should not be sold as a guaranteed substitute for facelift surgery. If you want substantial repositioning or removal of excess skin, raise that goal explicitly and ask whether a surgical consultation is more appropriate.

ASPS notes that results are not guaranteed and further treatment may sometimes be needed. It also distinguishes early appearance from completed healing. Do not decide that a result has succeeded or failed from an immediate post-treatment photograph alone. ASPS results guidance

Avoid treating a promised number of years as a warranty. Ask when the doctor would review the result and what costs apply to any additional intervention.

6. Discuss complications and who manages them

ASPS lists swelling, bruising, infection, thread extrusion, persistent pain, anesthesia risks and an unfavorable result among possible complications. Ask specifically about asymmetry, visible irregularity and what the clinic would do if you are concerned. ASPS risks and safety

Before paying, identify the clinician responsible for assessment and the contact for worsening symptoms. Ask which symptoms require prompt review rather than waiting for a routine response. Do not massage an uneven area, pull a visible thread or attempt removal yourself. A revision discussion may involve another examination and additional treatment; clarify the policy without assuming corrections are simple or free.

7. Plan recovery before planning the flight

Share the return-flight date, length of stay, travelling companion and any important event. Ask whether the proposed plan allows enough time for review and how care continues after you leave Korea. This article gives no universal flight-home interval or guaranteed “ready for photos” date.

ASPS advises obtaining individual instructions about facial care, medicines, activity and follow-up. Ask about cleansing, makeup, sleep, exercise, dental visits and avoiding pressure on the treated area. Follow your clinician's actual instructions rather than a social-media timetable. ASPS recovery guidance

Keep treatment records and product details. Find out what an overseas clinician would need if you require care after returning home, and whether additional visits or treatment would have separate charges.

8. Use the partner route to verify the service first

La Maison's GREY profile provides an inquiry route in Banpo. Its official event notice lists the product label “압토스 나미카 19” (APTOS NAMICA 19). Confirm the exact product, thread type and count, proposed area, current total fee, conditions and appointment dates directly with the clinic. The published label alone does not establish stock, suitability or a confirmed appointment.

Ask GREY to verify whether a relevant consultation can be arranged, who would assess you, and what product information the clinic can provide. Confirm the address, date and language support for your visit. If those points remain unclear, resolve them before making a treatment payment or non-flexible travel commitment.

9. Questions travellers often ask

Are more threads always better? No count alone establishes an appropriate plan. Ask what each proposed thread contributes and why that number is recommended.

Can I compare by material alone? Material is one field. Product design, number, area, clinician and aftercare also matter.

Can I combine it with another procedure? Provide all planned treatment dates and ask for a coordinated assessment, including whether separate visits are preferable.

Can I book consultation only? Ask about the fee and scheduling conditions. A consultation is not an obligation to proceed.

10. Request a proposal with enough detail

Through Contact GREY on the La Maison profile, send your dates, preferred language, main concern and wish for a consultation-first approach. Ask for service confirmation, exact product and count, proposed area, total current fee and follow-up arrangements. Provide medical information privately to the treating clinic. Booking coordination cannot replace examination, consent or a confirmed appointment.
