Start with the concern you want assessed

A device name is a useful starting point, but it is not a treatment plan. Tell the clinic which area concerns you, what change you hope for and whether you have a particular doctor in mind. Ask the clinician to explain what the proposed plan can realistically address and what it cannot. You can request a consultation before deciding whether to proceed.

What the Thermage FLX device does

Thermage FLX delivers radiofrequency energy. The manufacturer describes cooling and vibration during treatment and different tips for different areas. This is a different technology from ultrasound lifting. Ask for the exact model and treatment area; the word “lifting” alone does not identify the device.

Compare the whole appointment, not just the pulse count

For two clinic quotes, write down the device, tip, included areas, pulse count, consultation arrangements, comfort measures and final total. Ask whether VAT and any additions are included. A difference in price may reflect a different scope; a larger pulse count or a higher price does not independently establish a better plan. The clinician determines an appropriate treatment plan.

Separate treatment time from time at the clinic

Leave room for arrival, consultation, discussion of the proposal and payment as well as the procedure itself. Ask GREY to check appointment availability and the clinic’s estimated visit length. Do not treat an advertised procedure duration as the time you will walk out of the clinic, especially when travelling with someone whose consultation is separate.

Tell the clinic what could change the plan

The manufacturer says people with electrical implants, including pacemakers, should not undergo Thermage. Disclose implants, health conditions and recent procedures to the clinician. Redness, swelling and pain can occur; less common complications include burns and altered sensation. Ask the clinic about your individual risks and when to seek help.

Before accepting the booking

Confirm the clinic and branch, date and time, requested doctor arrangements, language support and written quote conditions. If a deposit applies, check payment, cancellation and refund terms. GREY helps confirm these practical details with partner clinics. The first inquiry is free, and the treating clinician decides suitability and the final treatment plan.

Turn your research into a consultation plan

Tell us your concern, intended dates and any product or doctor you prefer. GREY checks partner clinics and appointment conditions; the clinician assesses suitability.

Free GREY enquiry and booking support. No obligation to book. Any clinic deposit conditions are confirmed before you decide.
