Enlarged pores: what to ask before booking a treatment
Separate visible pores, congestion and acne scarring, then discuss the assessment, recovery and follow-up your visit would need.

At a glance
- Describe the concern without self-diagnosing.
- Ask what the proposed procedure would address.
- Check recovery and repeat visits against your trip.

Start with what you see, not a device name
Tell the clinician where the texture bothers you, whether there are breakouts and when it became noticeable. You do not need to diagnose it yourself or choose a device before asking for an appointment. A photograph may help explain your concern, but it does not establish which procedure is appropriate.
Pores can be noticeable for different reasons
The American Academy of Dermatology describes oiliness, clogged pores and reduced skin firmness as factors that can make pores more visible. Gentle care and sun protection are part of its guidance. Scrubbing or squeezing can irritate the skin. A visible pore and a depressed acne scar are not automatically the same problem.
If scars are part of the concern
AAD guidance explains that scar type, skin tone and the examination influence treatment planning. Different scar types may need different approaches, and active acne may need attention first. Ask the clinician which finding they are treating and how they would assess progress. An impressive device list does not answer those questions on its own.
What to ask when a procedure is proposed
Ask why that option fits the assessment, what alternatives exist, what discomfort or adverse effects are possible and whether a course of visits is proposed. If you came to research Potenza, lifting or an injectable product, you can name that interest without committing to it. A product category is not a universal solution for every texture concern.
Make the plan fit the trip
Give the clinic your departure date and any important photos or events. Ask about expected visible recovery, aftercare, review appointments and who will respond after you leave Korea. If a course requires repeat visits, confirm whether that is practical before paying for it. An available appointment does not establish that treatment fits your schedule.
The useful result of a first enquiry
A good next step is a confirmed consultation with the right practical arrangements: clinician, branch, language support and clear quote conditions. GREY can help compare partner clinics and coordinate that visit. Tell us your main concern, intended dates and any doctor preference. The clinician makes the diagnosis and decides treatment suitability.
