Korea's cosmetic treatment VAT refund ended in 2026—what should travellers compare now?

The special VAT refund provision for eligible foreign tourists applied to qualifying cosmetic medical services received through 31 December 2025. For 2026 visits, compare the full clinic price rather than an old tax-refund estimate.

01

Ask whether VAT is included

Clinic menus may display VAT separately. Confirm the final amount for the exact product, device, dose, shots, treatment area and add-ons before deciding.

02

Do not rely on an expired promotion

Korean clinics change monthly promotions frequently. GREY checks the current partner-clinic information for your intended visit period instead of publishing a price that may no longer apply.

03

Compare the treatment plan, not only the headline price

For injectables, verify brand and amount. For energy devices, verify model, authentic tip, shots or lines and treatment area. For lasers, ask about diagnosis, wavelength or tip and expected recovery.

04

How GREY pricing works

GREY does not charge patients a booking fee or add a markup. Partner clinics may pay GREY a referral or coordination commission, and patients pay the clinic directly.

General planning information only. The treating clinic decides medical suitability, timing and aftercare.
